    can anyone here recommend a program to have separate speeds for trackpad and mouse?

    with a gaming mouse and playing rts, have specific settings i use and for whatever reason, the trackpad is way sluggish compared to the mouse.

    any recommendations for program to use? i googled it and everything was from 2009 ish.

    It would help to know what brand of trackpad you have. For instance I have and ROG mouse on my Asus and it has distinct software for it. I have a synaptics TP and it also has it own SW.

    good point. lenovo y510p. looks like its called ELAN pointing device...

    and it doesn't seem to have it's own settings anywhere I can find.

    Lenovo Support - Drivers & Software (US) --- Category mouse and Keyboard. If you are running a "clean" windows install check control panel mouse device settings once you install the proper one for your version of Windows.

    Yes, check all tabs of the mouse setting in control panel. Also on those tabs check for menus, or hyperlinks.
