with all these companys going vista,is it possible to get them to put xp in the laptop instead of vista.i know dell offer xp in the lower end models of inspiron.and i know some of you will say just buy xp and install it lol.i think i should be able to choose xp rather than vista.
i did see a acer company online off to downgrade to xp for 40£ lol.
ive seen some laptops with older graphics cards(nvidia 7600) and xp still very expensive compared to a new dell with the latest gpu at a better price.

Some components on newer systems may not have any XP drivers, so it won't necessarily be compatible with all new systems. Also, through Dell's Small Business site I believe you can configure all of their notebooks with XP.

I am curious if with the impending removal of XP from the market, is that just for consumers not business? I ask because I suspect forcing Vista down the business community's throats might not be so easy. I was at a hospital and saw Windows 2000 running still.

Join the future! Join Vista! Soon, no Windows user will remember a time when User Access Control was not a glorious part of the Windows Experience!
