Yes it can read FAT32, how do you think camera SD cards are read?
-
Don't know what's going on with your drive, but I have had no problem formatting memory cards in Fat 32 and using them to transfer files on Windows 7.
-
Did you by any chance use OSX to format the drive in FAT32? It has caused some problems for me sometimes.
To fix try running CHKDSK with error correction -
no, i've used widows 7 to format...i'm currently doing an ntfs format...for some reason it appears that i cannot do a quick ntfs format...i have to do it the classic (long) way...btw, do you think i got a lemon?
-
man, i'm sick of this...it can only be formatted in fat32 and not in ntfs...it gave me an error when i tried to format it in ntfs...
-
I think your USB drive has some issues, I have had that problem with some of my corsair rubber body drives as well. time for a replacement
and yes win 7 does fat 16 and 32 very well -
buddy it looks you have a some kind virus in it ... try formatting it in Fat32 with deep format not quick format then try again with NTFS quick format
-
Not a virus, its bad memory cells on the drive..... I got a dozen of the same problem here, just havnt sent them back for replacement yet
-
ok.the problem is that i bought it on ebay (new of course) and i will have to ship it back for the refund to be given...anyways, i have used a pendrive for 4-5 years but didnt have this problem...is it specific with the corsairs? should i get a sandisk instead?
-
im more of a fan of Sandisk, Kingston and Lexar ...... personal preference though
-
ok which one is the best?i'm looking for a sandisk or kingston 16gb on ebay (with international shipping)

The Corsair rubber doo hickeys are the fastest for their price. At least that was the case under Tom's Hardware.
-
the corsair rubber doo hickeys are what seems to have the most screwed up memory for me. fast but not so reliable thankl goodness mine had lifetime warranty, downside, had to keep putting my tool files on other drives
Luke as for best .... toss a coin they both run excellent for me -
ok so the corsair seller will refund my money provided i send back my drive...so i saw this one: is it a good deal?? http://cgi.ebay.com/SanDisk-16GB-Ul...C_Drives_Storage_Internal?hash=item2ea89b3e32

OHHHHH ya, I got a few of those with no issues !!!!! and I paid more than that wholesale ..... admittedly awhile ago
-
