So whenever I attempt to use my U3 thumb drive on my 32bit W7 I get an error message saying that the drive has been already assigned , I have tried to assign a new drive letter but I get the same message!?

yeah it works fine on my Vista partition. I am wondering if since it has been used on that partition it is preventing me from useing it on my W7 partition?

I got it working. I had to disconnect all other drives, external/PC card/audio hub, then I went in and changed the drive letter and voila it works! Oh yeah I am dual booting too!
