I just picked up a dell m1530 laptop with blu ray, when the screen comes up to the home page to play the movie- it wont play after pushing the play button.Ive tried all the updates and i think its installed correctly in media direct. Is there something someone can tell me to get the movie to play?
I bought it at bestbuy and when i call up dell they wont help saying that they have a contract with the geek squad- so i called up the geek squad and they wanted $80 to answer a question!

What driver version do you have? and is the nVidia driver carrying the WHQL certification? I think you need this WHQL for blu-ray playback!! Check for this.

i didnt see anything about it being certifite. does this help?just seems funny that this thing didnt come right out of the box ready to play!!! I got a dell thinking there were better than most other brands- my last laptop was a HP-the powercord on the mother board blew up- so i thought a change would be better and this is the second unit i got because the 1st one from dell lasted 4 days and it wouldnt eject the disc!so they gave me a new one- thanks for the continuing help.

You should ask your question in the Dell XPS forum. You'll likely get more help there. In the future avoid buying a computer or laptop from Best Buy or any other middleman. It's always best to buy direct to avoid these issues. ;)
