This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     ok, for some reason, i cant switch users on MCE. i have more than 1 user, but it wont give me the "switch user" button. all i have is log off.

    Open the control panels.
    go into Users and Accounts.
    Make sure fast user switching is ENABLED.

    it said "fast user switching cannot be used because Offline Files is currently enabled. to make chances to Offline Files settings, click OK". im assuming its ok to hit ok

    yeah that's fine.
    offline files is not necessary on a home machine.

    Offline files is for whenyou're on a network and you have files on a central server. It allows you to work on the files when you're not connected to the network. Then when you do reconnect to the network, it sychronizes your local files with the ones on the server.
