    cant watch wmp files on my laptop

    for some reason, i cant watch any movie that would open in windows media player. i dont know why, when i have downloaded the program. any ideas?

    (btw- it doesnt work in either IE or firefox. firefox tells me that its missing a plug in, but it cant find which plug in its missing)

    Will it play if you launch Media Player and then do a file/open on the file? If so, your file associations are fubar'd. Go to Tools/Options/File Types in WMP and make sure you have the various filetypes you want to play checked.

    i dont see that in either IE or firefox. and i havent tried downloading the file from the website to my hard drive. all i know is that i cant see videos online that use some type of windows media player
