    Hey guys,

I hope you can help me with a big problem with my laptop:
Since the update from 10.3 to 11 oif the flash player I can't use hardware acceleration anymore despite the fact that my graphics chip isn't blacklistet by adobe: Intel GMA 4500MHD / X4500.
    I can't even watch a 480p movie in fullscreen!!!

I've already updated my graphics drivers, but it doesn'T help.
Does anyone else have this problem? Or is anyone with the same graphic chip NOT having these problems?

You would help me very much!

Laptop name and model would sure help us answer your questions. Also go back to older version of Flash Player if newer version doesn't work for you.

hey, the laptop model is the Acer 180tz, but I think the important thing to know really is the chipset I mentioned.
Going back to 10.3 is not an option any longer for me because it's not updated with security updates in the future :(

Hearing from other people who have the same or don't have the same problem with this chipset would help a lot!

OK now, ask on the ACER forum. Maybe someone there can help.

This might be the problem your having watching those large videos.....

This is similiar in specs but should inform you that laptop isn't up to par to watch video from the comparison

Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T - Review of the Acer Aspire Timeline 1810T

So I think even updating the Flash won't help in your problem.

His laptop isn't an issue if older flash versions worked fine. Adobe just makes terrible flash players, and has been for years. At one point Flash videos at 480p worked fine on old Pentium processors, now with newer versions you bet you will be watching a slideshow. Just disgusting.

I mean look at my specs, then listen: Flash 12 is slightly choppy compared to 11.9 on MY SYSTEM, with an i7, 7970M, and 16GB of DDR3 RAM. And not just on HD videos, but for ANY quality. There is inherently something wrong with newer Flash player versions. This is ADOBE's issue, not OUR'S.

OK then can't he roll back to an older version that works? I know the older versions may have security problems but that should be resolved with a good anti-virus program.

Really flash is flawed unfortunately this isn't the case for me and all software has flaws to cite just Adobe is just without merits or facts. What I would say is to download the offline installer version for both IE and FF or other broswer and install those don't use the webinstaller as that is also problematic. I download and installed all my Flash and shockwave and Air plugins and had no problems on site that use Flash. Maybe the OP should try to download the flash install it and try it again and see what happens. Webinstaller IMO are problematic in themselves.
