    chrome any issues with the dev builds for anyone

    thinking about changing a machine over the update via the dev builds. how stable are they usually do they usually have any major issues or are the mostly stable.. thanks

    I've been using dev releases for some time now. So far no major issues or stability problems. My current version is 1.0.154.39 (I think the final released version is 1.0.154.36).

    You can always switch back to the standard release anytime. So go ahead.

    I use the developer builds, they are fine.

    after going to the dev builds is there a easy way to switch back in case of a issue as i said this is a office machine.. (my desktop) or do i have to uninstall and reinstall to go back to the older release version

    Yes, just run the Chrome Chanel Switcher again (chromechannel-xx.exe) and select the first option.

    that switched me back but to a beta version or at least it says beta under the google chrome logo now where it didnt before.. ?? i mainly did it just to try the switch

    Go to About Google Chrome and see if there is a update available?

    yeah wierd.. okay i went back to the first option.. it said beta. i had to do a second update then the beta went away? ill go back to the dev channel but i wanted to make sure i could go back easy if i needed to

    so far so good

    Maybe the channel switcher program is not updated to reflect the final release, but in any case once you select the first option it should switch you out of the dev branch and in to the main release.
