    cisvc.exe what is this???

    hi there!
    im dealing with a very mysterious problem. i recently formated my laptop and a problem has occured. when i start my machine and it boots up the proccesor runs full at 100%!!! i looked at the procceses (task manager) and i found that the reason was a procces called cisvc.exe! what is this thing and how do i get rid of it. i would be very gladfull for any answer helpfull or not!

    That would be the windows disk indexing service. The indexing service helps your computer to search for files more quickly. This process will eventually index all the files and then stop, but if you dont want the program to run, or need to use your laptop with more than 1% CPU then do the following:

    1)Click start, run
    2)in the run box type in "services.msc" (without quotes)
    3)scroll down to the "Indexing service" line and double click it
    4)A new dialoge box should have appeared in which you should be able to change the startup type to "Manual"
