I would go with the suggestion by Bill Smithers here Removing claro search malware - Microsoft Community (Key is booting into safe mode with whatever version of windows you have) + using Rkill RKill - CNET Download.com then running any scans in safe mode with networking also.

The best virus removal method is always a format + reload, simply because you can "remove" or quarantine a virus, but it may have still damaged integral system files.
Here is a virus removal guide if you would like to peruse a thorough removal practice: MajorGeeks Support Forums - View Single Post - READ & RUN ME FIRST Malware Removal Guide (incl. spyware, virus, trojan, hijacker) -
Claro search is not a bowser hijacker, however, if you wish to remove it, it is very easy to uninstall. please follow this link: How to Remove Claro-search to get full and quick instructions.

If isearch Claro is an installed program and not a simple extension, then the steps claro_search has provided will only remove the default search engine, start up page, and new tab page. It will not "remove" Claro from the hard drive. There is a lot of fuss about this and removal process, especially on the Norton community site.
Removal/quarantine will require virus removal software. Refer to the link I provided above and that should do it - although as I stated, the best removal is a re-installation (but this is more so recommended in severe cases of infection).
