I finally got NHC and now know what my NB is doing. I see that after I put it in hibernate for a couple hours it boots back up in half the CPU clock (800 mkz). It normally boots up from off in full power (1790ish).

Can I control this...? Because I find that I have to reboot when I want to play games and need full CPU, and when I'm takin notes in class... I'd love for it to boot up at 800.

the cpu clocks as needed and will ramp up on its own as necessary. there's really no need to muck with it.

You can manually set speeds in NHC. Right click on the icon in the tray and choose between 4 power modes. Max battery and optimized battery will lock it to the lowest multiplier, dynamic is like normal (depends on the load), and max performance will lock it to the fastest multiplier. At least that works with Pentium M.

    Cheers,

I'll see about that later, but as it stands... I can't play games after its been at half power, and the CPU will not clock up for the game, so I have to reboot.
