hey,
today i've noticed that cpu fan is running for too long because of high temperatures. ok, it happens sometimes, because of some processes, but after i shut down all the running programs nothing changed. the temperature remained ~70C, when normally it is ~45-50C.
i opened task manager and saw that one process, called csrss.exe is using lots of cpu resources.
![]()
it's a system process, so it's not possible to kill it with task manager. after killing it with ProcessExplorer i saw a blue error screen and computer restarted.
this is the view that ProcessExplorer shows about the process:
![]()
tried to google it. and i found that other people has problems with this process. when they have it infected, it tries to mail all your contacts, changes IE homepage, etc. however i dont have these symptoms.
also tried to do in-depth scan with NOD32. nothing was found and nothing has changed.
any ideas how to fix this?
or maybe it's not csrss.exe's fault at all?
thanks.

bump!
not even fresh copy of XP didn't cure this sickness.
edit: i forgot to add, that computer is IDLE'ing in the pictures i posted earlier.
csrss.exe causes *HIGH* cpu usage ant it's *HIGH* temperature
