    i'm going to meet up with a dude to buy a monitor and all he has is a macbook to test for dead pixels, that's why i want to make sure that program will work. if you have a macbook, can you do a quick test to see if it works properly. thanks

    You can use your eyes too. Just change the background colors and move programs around the screen and look closely for pixels that are stuck on green/purple and do not move (could be other colors too). Often white backgrounds show dead pixels the best. But try black and other colors too and look closely.
