I installed windows 7 x86 and during the installation it put all my old folders in windows.old. I grabbed everything I needed out of it and deleted the folder. It took forever to delete. But anyways, the windows.old folder is still there with some sub folders. Everytime I try to delete it, it says the folder couldn't be located on the hard drive (something to that extent). Usually if I refresh the page that I am on, the folder will dissappear.

Have you rebooted? Have you tried it in Safe mode?

See if you can remove it through Disc Cleanup, which is the proper way, anyway. :)

I have re-booted, re-installed OS, tried deleting through safe-mode, and chkdsk. Haven't tried Disc Cleanup though.
