    Hi,
I have a problem with my laptop's internet access. depending whether I am at home or outside, I use GPRS/wifi/ADSL to connect to the net.

the gprs and ADSL connection dialers keep popping up and start redialing even when I dont need them and if i disconnect the modem (the phone or the lan) it shows error and redials   . the popups are very irritating  because you have to keep returning back to the original window.

To avoid these popups i delete these connections from "network connections". But to use the connection again, I have to set them up again. I hope there is another way.

If i can keep these connections and get them to dial only when I need them, it would be gr8.

I use Windows XP Home edition on my hp dv 5200t. I have tried various ways but would b very gr8ful if neone can help me out with this.

    Thx, bye

Go to IE properties>connections> check the box that says "never dial a connection" Worked for me.

Tried that but the dialer still keeps appearing. Does not seem to be a virus or any malicious code.
