I am now making a copy of my old DVD discs into computer image and getting rid of the physical discs.

I used CDBurnerXP to turn the DVD into ISO or MDF format

However, when I tried to mount the image it returned with warning and error message.

DId I use a wrong software or method to make a perfect copy of my DVD discs?

My operating system is windows 10

If those 'old' DVD's were commercial disks of movies then they had DRM and need special software to do what you want to do.
Also note: the standard CDBurnerXP installer comes bundled with OpenCandy which is considered malware by some.

It should be in ISO format if you want to mount and use the original menu system. Since no one knows what software your using to mount the format no one can really help here. Also like to mention if you didn't get past the CSS or DRM protection what your doing will fail.
