    disable DCOMlauncher?

    my laptop has been getting short freezes for like 2 secs every 1 min or so.. i launched perfmon to monitor my cpu usage and found out its actually this svchost DCOMlauncher causes the freeze.. tried to disable it in services.msc but my comp wouldnt allow me to.. is there any way i can disable this DCOMlauncher? using 32bit vista sp1 here..

    i tried it but still couldnt disable dcomlauncher.. when i perform the local dcom test i get the below error :

    i went ahead to disable dcom using the dcombobulator software but when i restarted my comp the service is still running
