Does anybody know how to do this, I use standby a lot and every-time resume my notebook it shows the log-in screen with my name in the centre with the word locked underneath, now all i do i click on my name and it takes me to my desktop.

But since i am the only one using my notebook and i dont have a password is there a way to resume straight to the desktop.

REP given for a fix :)

Have you gone to the Power Options and on the left there should be a link that says "Require a Password on Wakeup". There should be an option near the bottom that says "Don't Require a Password".

The options you mention are greyed out and not selectable.

Do you have UAC on by any chance? You should have an option that says "Change settings that are currently unavailable" which normally greys out the Password options if thats the case.

Ok, so i diabled UAC, now the option to "Don't Require a Password" is selectable, so now when i come out of standby i go straight to the desktop, also i re-enable UAC and it still works.

Thanks for your help +REP :)
