    as soon as I installed W 7 the date was displayed along with the time, and I really liked that. now it only displays the time and I can't find a way to switch it back.

    I also never changed any setting and the date disappeared.

    can anyone help?

    I answered this in another thread. You must use big icons, if you have "small icons" enabled, it won't show the date.

    this was the way since years on windows. if you had a fat taskbar, you see everything.l if you have a small one, only the time.

    i really wanted to widen that part so that we could see it all the time. the rest of the taskbar is asjustable and resizable, why not that? .. annoying. espencially annoying to see it still not fixed. so much for "gui enhancements"...
