i cant find a solution for this, maybe someone has an idea. i have an externas dvorak usb keyboard and my laptop has a regular US one. When I am home I use the USB one and whenever i'm not plugged in I use the laptop keyb. changing the layout manually all the time is a pain.
is there a way that I can have win 7 switch the default layout to dvorak when the usb keyb is connected?

any advices are much appreciated. thanks.

I don't know of a way to make the switch automatic, but you can bind the kb switch to a combination of keys. That way you don't have to go mess in the control panel.

EDIT: Make sure not use a combination of keys that you use frequently or else your layout will change quite often.
