    downloaded XTU profiles that garner 33% more marks however, i go from 960-977 marks? PLEASE HALP!

    complete and total n00b here, my last XTU system was a sager/clevo where marks wasn't even a thing...(ie, pre2014). Now i got a intel 8th gen in my Spectre, a i7 8705g at 3.1 to 4.1 turbo boost. I ran the xtu bench and got 960 marks, then downloaded the profiles of the 66% compatible, and the 78% compatible getting over 1150marks, and choose to apply changes...when i run the bench test again i get 977 marks. I have no clue what happened here.

    i'd like to of course get the 1150marks out of my system, ASAP!!!

    if failing that, i'd like to constantly sit at the 4 cores at 4.1ghz....

    SO i don't know what is going on here with these ppl's XTU profiles, i lclick apply changes, and just go up barely 10 points...a whole afternoon wasted. ugh.

    Could someone please help? In simpler terms, i dl a profile from the xtu websit...and then click "apply changes" in XTU. The XTU profile website shows the profile was at over 1100marks...i run the benchmark in XTU w/ the new profile...i get BARELY 10marks upgrade. WTF?!!!

    FYI benchmarks are synthetic test not actually running test of the game or software. Also when was the last time you dusted the insides out meaning dissemble and blow out all the dust and redo the thermal paste for laptop especially gaming laptops. How old is your laptop?
