    i read something here before about some notebooks not taking full advantage of dual core processors and there were instructions on how to fix it. i tried seraching for it but could find it.

    You are right. I used that guide a while ago. All you have to do is change some registries and update a .ini file. Post the directions if anyone finds them because I am reformatting my computer and want to re-optimize.
