I don't know where to put this thread, but this is probably a vista issue.

I own a t61 14.1 wide with integrated graphics and vista home premium. ( any other specs just ask me )

    I'm dual monitoring on a 21 inch lcd at 1600 x 1200.

the problem is that I like to keep everything on my external monitor and full screen firefox on my laptop's screen.

So it's easy to do these settings. set the primary, change what screen the side bar is blah blah blah.

The issue I have is when the computer goes to sleep/hibernate/lock the computer ( i haven't tried switching user because i only have one user and I just win+L )

When i log back in, start the computer back up, the computer forgets my settings. It usually switches my laptop's screen tot he primary monitor and the vista sidebar switches back to my laptop screen( now the primary screen ) chances are this is a vista issue ( and this has already a thread about it that I can't find )

anyways if this is fixable, could anyone give me some insight on this issue or just any insight?

    thanks all

Okay, I might have answered my own question. If anyone has read about the dreaded screen blacking out, I can't find the thread.

( the screen blacks out after a boot up for a second or after returning from hibernation or sleeping )

anywas I just restarted my computer and it was going fine, the screens stayed their original settings, but when the screen blacked out as it usually does, the settings went haywire and my laptop screen was switched to my primary screen >.<

I guess it has been established that the black out problem is a vista problem, hopefully to be fixed.

It's a vista thing. I'm having major problems with Vista coming back from sleep mode. The fingerprint software takes horribly long to load. USB devices are not recognized after coming back from sleep mode(i've already installed the registry patch for this), etc.

Not sure if anyone is still paying attention to this thread, but I have noticed the same problem with my T60 and now T61 running XP. I had to set the IBM/ Lenovo presentation director to correct the problem.
