    Recently,

i download DFX audio enhancer for Winamp.

i downloaded from some non-official site i think.

so i when i clicked on .exe installation file..
    NOD32 detected a trojan .

    it quarantined it.

but after that some eREad got installed on my comp..

its a known software for reading e books according to softpedia...

but here it is a malware as it auto-installed with trojan and is running on its own.

it also executes a link which accesses internet.

i want to know how to Safely remove it..

NOd32 & ad-aware didnt detect it as a Malware hence i am confused.

i manually deleted it & did a Registry clean.

want to know what else can be done.

How do i confirm it has been removed from my system?

    hi

first I would try the free online Trend Micro House Call scan that detects & removes viruses, trojans and SPYWARE!!! - excellent tool w/ out having to install a big program....

    http://housecall.trendmicro.com

On the 2nd screen, just click on scan now. You may have to update your java platform.

Then, depending on those results, you may want to try the trial version of spysweeper or spyware doctor and run a scan- they are both excellent and highly rated.

    Hope that helps...........

I believe that quarantined means it has been encrypted and can't be read/accessed, not deleted. You should be able to delete this from the program that quarantined it.

If eRead is a legit program, no matter how it was installed, maybe it should have been uninstalled. Now that parts are deleted it may be best to reinstall it and then uninstall?

Yes, I second that. I believe that you need to reinstall the program and then uninstall it.
You can find the quarantine file on NOD32, and try to Google it, or submit it to NOD32 team to see if it's a false detect trojan. Some toolbar nowadays are also categorized as WTrojan clicker, don't know what's wrong though :/

If you can't perform any uninstall, trace back the log where it installed all the files, and maybe a bit of registry cleaner to completely remove its type files :)
