I have 2 very large .ts files and I need to cut certain sections in one and paste in the other. Is there a program I could use to do that? I really rather not convert anything at it'd take a lot of time and effort while degrading the image quality. I know this can be done with VirtualDub with AVI, what about .ts streams (which contain mpeg2)

But I rather not "convert" the clips that would take a lot of time and result in a loss of quality

You can try HDTVtoMPEG2 to convert .ts to standard .mpg
And after that you can use VirtualDub-MPEG2 or whatever to edit your file.

Actually, HDTVtoMPEG2 will combine several TS files into one big TS file without converting them to mpeg2. If they have no blank spots between the end of the first ts file and the begining of the the second ts file, you can go to the command prompt.

    copy /b 1.ts+2.ts 3.ts
