Hello!
Atm i have a plan to sell some of my hard drives.
What is the best way to erase them ? i need 100% warranty on non recovery^/
Writing zeros , not a bulett prof solution.
Here i read about Cipher.exe
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/cipher-command-line-tool-windows
what you think?
May be you know some other effective solutions?

The only 100% guaranteed solution is to physically destroy the drives.

If you have any sensitive data on those drives then heed the advice of the post #2 and #3.

i heard Dban, can do the job. atleast on consumer level.

Here's one thing you can do with them. Not scientific, but certainly practical if you have the need:
-
StormJumper Notebook Virtuoso
Only real destructive way is Physical destruction or the Smelting Iron Foundry. Most every John will not take the time if you Zero the drive for most joe.Last edited: Mar 31, 2016Lnd27 likes this. -

Dban is the most secure as far as i know but can take hours if the guntman method is used as it can do upto 40 passes of the drive.
