When I start up, explorer doesn't start upI have to crtl+alt+del to get out the task manager and then hit "new task" and then start explorer manually. Any solutions?
And then when i go control panel -> network and connections it has a white (unclosable) window and then it finally fills it in with Server execution error/no network found and then nothing is clickable. i have to manually close the window, and restart explorer.
Any suggestion? ( other than reformatting to xp)

did this happen after the install of a program?
try doing a system restore to a point at which this was not happening -
thanks, but that wasn't the problem
-
type msconfig in run ...then click on 'services' tab and try to enable explorer.
U can also go to start up programs tab to see if explorer is enabled and finally reboot your comp.
This should solve your problem...if not let me know -
see i tried that, but the thing is... explorer isn't there.
