It won't, thus the '=P' but it can be recognized as FF so, technically...

Opera is kind of buggy to me. I just typed a diatribe on it and I won't do it again.

It doesn't seem that fast. Amazon.com didn't work where as FF did. I just logged into this site and after I finished, I got a message that I wasn't logged on. Quirky browser.

It works perfectly on my desktop, but it is a bit buggy on my laptop, i keep getting logged out and such, i dunno why, but I still notice the large speed difference. Large to me anyway.

I am still trying to use it to its potential. The Wand thing is neat. I also like tabbed browsing but the Tile tool to see two sites at the same time is very useful.

I am not familiar with its security. Using FF you can use No scripts but I don't know what opera is doing when it is running a website. Are there extensions available?

thanks guys for suggestions. i tried fasterfox but it doesn't do the job well.... the problem with firefox is that it loads too slow during initial launch not like internet explorer.. m not surprise since IE is built into windows system thats why it loads fast.

btw, i don't want to mess up with my firefox by those tweaks suggested. i just wanted plugins that can make my firefox loads faster at initial launch. if there is no plugin like that then i guess i have to be contented with slow firefox. (faster initial launch, i think, is the only one advantage of IE... :) )

There is a huge difference when using the preloader, but as Mattskent said, you sacrifice resources and boot times a bit. The extension does work well on my machine though.

Fasterfox isn't making too much difference. There is a little fox that times the page loading in the lower right corner. That's the only difference I notice.

i don't know if you guys understand what i am asking..:-( if i understand your suggestions, you are suggesting that i used plugins that can help me load webpages faster but this is not what i want. what i want is a plugin that can make my firefox faster in its "initial launch." compared to IE, firefox is quite slower when it comes to initial launch. that said, i like a plugin (if there is) that can make my firefox faster in its initial launch.

There aren't any plug ins that will make Firefox load faster. In fact, the more plug ins you have, the slower it will load. I think your best bet is the Firefox preloader (last link in my last post), if you're willing to have the extra process running at boot.

in firefox, type "about:config" in the bar. then look for "pipelining". Change network.http.pipelining to true and change the max requests to 8 or 12 or 16 or whatever you want, i didn't see a difference after 12 though. That should speed things up a little.

The Fasterfox plug in does this automatically for you as one of it's methods for speeding up your web browsing I believe. This won't help the program load faster though, as already mentioned.

The only thing I hate in firefox is its slow loading. I think if there could be some fix, it might have been added to it by develepors. We have to wait. I found Opera faster in loading and surfing both!
