    hello,

    Is anyone using final cut on the macbook?, or premiere via bootcamp?.
    How do they preform on the macbook?

    im not totally sure if final cut is universal yet, but if it isn't it will be soon. Once it is universal, it will undoubtly run really fast.

    Why would it need to be universal to run on a Mac? It is an apple program...

    If you have the right hardware, you shouldn't have trouble. However, I know from experience that it takes a lot to run that.

    All of Apple's software are now Universal binaries. Have been since the day the Intel Macs were announced.

    their pro apps were not universal when they first brought out the intel macs. aperature was the most recent one to go universal.

    ttupa, universal means that it will run on both power pc and intel macs.

    Oops. Sorry about that. I thought I remembered SJ saying that all the pro apps were already uUniversal at MacWorld '06. Turns out what he actually said was by March. :eek:
