I have internet explorer with sp2 in my laptop. How firefox works on laptops? Have you encountered any problem? Is safer than ie sp2?

i started using firefox befoure it was well known(the name was different) and i dont see a reason for a person to use IE instead of FF

I mainly use FF but sometimes you have to use IE due to sites only supporting it, this mainly is the case with Microsoft websites, but I've run into a few others as well
