My Config is the best free driver updater. always gets the right drivers as opposed to other driver updaters which get you downloads not really relevant to your laptop

it's free and gets you download links direct download links from the manufacturer. been using it for years no registration required even, just install the browser plugin and let it scan, then click on the drivers tab

it will even find drivers for devices that are missing a driver (ie. not installed)

    My Config Driver updater

PS: Don't ever trust anything that comes from IOBIT they have previously stolen code form MBAM or something like that

I personally wouldn't touch any non-manufacturer drivers with a 20-foot pole, if you ask me.

I've recently started doing that as well. Driver updates only bring headaches and trouble which you may or may not notice immediately. Best to only use the drivers from your laptop's manufacturer download page

It can be fine to use OEM driver versions from the card maker. Examples being NVidia, AMD, Intel and the like. This though has to be done with caution as OEM drivers are usually certified for the system where the others may not be yet if ever..............

true nVIDIA drivers are the safest to use from the manufacturer of the chipset directly, but even though, with some laptops, it might break the FN + - Brightness keys, not always but just saying, it happened to my 5 year old VAIO SZ Premium

I totally agree it`s best to use OEM drivers, but we all know how fast manufactures bring out new notebook, and after a year or so you no longer get any updates, if you have an older notebook a driver updater can be worth a try, just make a restore point and you will be fine.

I have tried "My Config" and i don't like it, i have had failed updates and driver`s in foreign language in device manger.
