This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    hi what's the best freeware(you have used or currently using) for encrypting a whole directory folder? Like having a safe folder for personal stuffs :D ?

    if you could provide me a link it would be great.

    You can try mylockbox. The freeware version allows you to lock one folder on your computer with a password. The professonal version will allow you to lock multiple folders. It'll hide your personal files from normal people, but it's not secure like TrueCrypt or any real encrypting software. Try TrueCrypt for confidential files.
