if i get a new laptop with a factory installed windows 7 ultimate but that will unquestionably be filled with a lot of bloat, how do I go about doing a proper clean install of windows 7 ultimate?
I guess I can use the windows 7 ultimate cd key that comes with the laptop. but how do I get the ultimate DVDs without buying a full version?
I do NOT want to download from third parties because they might have viruses.
Does Microsoft send/sell only the windows 7 ultimate install DVDs for such scenarios?

Usually, laptops have a recovery-spcific programs, such as the AI Recovery in ASUS laptops. Just type "recovery" in the "Start" menu, search for it, an there will be something related to recpvery for sure.

There should be links you can dig up to images specific to either the x86 or x64 architectures. You should be able to use your key, and activation might take an extra step or two. I don't have the links off-hand, but a quick Google search should do the trick.
