    good free simple program for video editing?

    hey all

    have a dvd i transferred to my computer with dvd decrypter to a .ISO extension (dont know if i did it right) and wanted to cut parts out of it (only need a specific section). whats the best program to use that wont affect quality and then to burn it after back to dvd (again that wont affect quality)?

    windows movie maker should already be loaded with your operating system.
    for basic chopping and cutting this is great.

    ok so when i used dvd decypter it copied as an iso a nd mds file so i dont think its right in terms of format how do i rip it from the dvd to the right format?

    whats the quality like from ripping to computer and burning back to dvd?

    if its already transfered into a iso file then youve gone too far.
    to use a video editing software to cut out bits of the film they have to be an avi/mpeg2/mpeg4 file.

    where did the original film come from,a ripped dvd or video camera

    thanks for the help. it came from a dvd but i must have ripped it wrong. i used freemake and it worked like a charm.
