You mean the bookmarks manager...? Easy Ctrl+Shift+B, and resize. It opens a new window though...as in FF it becomes on the side...

Well, I broke down and finally downloaded Chrome. I like it, especially since it imported my Firefox bookmarks and bookmarks tool bar.

I have two problems with Opera:

    1. Doesn't always remember passwords
    2. Ad blocker does not work on all sites (like Engadget and Autoblog)

As for Chrome, I like it and use it on my Inspiron, but not yet on my EEE because it has the same problem as Opera, it scrolls to fast. Firefox has perfect scrolling. And also with Chrome on the Inspiron, the lack of adblocker is a mess. Some websites with a lot of flash ads totally cripple the Pentium 4. An adblocker for Chrome can't come fast enough.

To be honest, I'm not noticing much of a difference in performance. I'll use it from time to time but I'm not ready to give up Firefox yet.

It seems Chrome is the only real stable browser I found. I'm a big fan of Opera and Firefox. Mostly because Firefox is the best mainstreamed browser and Opera is always pushing the bar (first tabbed browser[i know of anyway], etc). But I'm using Vista x64 and I get Firefox constantly locking up and "not responding" and recently using Opera I've noticed that as well has the same problem. While browsing it'll get slower and slower until finally it locks up and I have to end process.

So for most simple browsing I've been using Chrome and it seems lightning fast and I don't get any weird crashes. Also the I like the GUI.
It's like Opera + alittle more.

I don't know it's like the most stable browser I've found on my laptop w/ Vistax64.
I think it's more optimized for Vista.

    Yeah

It doesnt detect that there is a text box when composing a new email, so you cant type...

    Bummer for some people... :(

Personally, i love chrome. Been using it since it was released. :D

I've been using IE7 since I went to Vista almost two years ago. Yesterday's security problem had me looking for an alternative.

I remembered that a couple of weeks ago I had run across this which had made me curious about Chrome. I downloaded it yesterday and now I've been running it for just over 24 hours and I think that it's great.

So far, it has been totally stable and totally fast. The fact that it automatically imported my IE7 bookmarks was just a bonus.

One other thing...the reason that I was hesitant to download Chrome was that I was afraid that I would also get stuck with Google Desktop. Because I'm running Vista, Google Desktop would just be redundant and I didn't want it hogging resources. I was psyched when I saw that I was getting Chrome all by itself.

I downloaded Chrome, and was amazed how much faster than FF3 it was. I find myself using Firefox more often though, just Chrome seems incomplete. Firefox's features like opening recently closed tabs plus it's many plugins are very convenient. As far as I saw, Chrome didn't even do as simple a thing like tweaking how long the browser keeps its history for (unless I missed it).

Chrome is very very fast though, and it's been stable for me.

Chrome can open recently closed tabs. When you open a new tab look in the bottom right.

chrome is not ready yet imo. there are a number of things i wish they had a fix or change for. i also can not access my mail and it displays the verizon mail page all screwed up also. i cant scroll in boxes the way im used to with the mouse wheel.. yes it moves it up and down but it doesnt respond to the click then drag the mouse method,

i see a LOT of pages not displayed correctly. with various mixed up things on them.

i hate the recently opened pages tab personally thats actualyl one of the things i dont like about opera either, but with opera i dont have to use it.

i AGREE chrome SMOKES ff3 in speed no doubt.. but its just not complete or need more work imo. i would 100% be using it if it were more thorough and "finished" i like the look and the bars as well as how little room they actually take up..

even ff3.1 beta 2 is just so much more ready and complete. there so far is only one thing i dont like about ff3.1b2 and thats the stinking new tab button and where they placed it wow does that drive me CRAZY!!!!! I HATE THAT. im so used to placing it over on the other side this is driving me crazy otherwise i think 3.1 could be a release version. chrome imo should still be in beta even though i do love using it overall. if things were fixed id drop all the other browsers for it

...Just double click the blank space...

And no 3.1 Beta 2 is no where close to a release version. The tearing tab feature needs a lot of work.

No, it definitely does need work on the tab tearing feature. It's ready otherwise, but then again, most pre-beta builds were "ready" too. The only the builds of Firefox I have ever found to be unstable are the recent builds of Firefox 3.2a1pre. It's been crashing on me left and right in the last 3 or so days.
