My PC started to have problems with the graphics, so I uninstalled the display drivers (primary and secondary) hoping to re-install new ones to fix the problem. The computer restarted like it was supposed to but my monitor displays 'out of range' after windows loads up. Instead of going into safe mode like I should of to try to fix the problem, I popped in my windows cd and tried to repair the partition. Well, that went fine, but when the computer restarts it still shows the 'out of range' when the computer loads up. So I finally think of going into safe mode by pressing f8 when the computer is loading up and select safe mode and my os. Lines of text fill up the screen (/WINDOWS/Drivers/filex.sys for example) and then the screen displays the same 'out of range' afterwards.

I'm not sure where to go from here. I could reformat but I really don't want to resort to it. Any help would be great.

EDIT: I'm using a lcd monitor w/ ati 9800 pro if that matters

    u can try:
. set ur monitor to a lower resolution/refresh rate (play around with some settings)
. then install the graphic driver

    cheers ...

well I can't get to a point where I can change anything graphic related. I can't boot into safe mode or normal mode. All I see is a black screen with 'out of range' on it.
