Hi. I am trying to reformat my laptop but the computer wont automatically recognize the recovery disk when i put it in the disk drive. The drive is working as the disk does show up when I get onto the desktop but I cant run a system recovery unless the disk is read before windows loads. I was wondering if I could somehow configure the computer through the BIOS screen in the IDE menu or if there is a way to run a format once logged into windows. I know this is kinda confusing but thanks in advance. :)

If the disk is not being read before Windows loads, then you need to change the boot priority. This can be done in the BIOS. The CD/DVD drive needs to be set at a higher priority than the hard disk. This way, the computer will wait for the CD/DVD drive to read, and that way, you should be able to enter the Windows Setup page.

    Yea what he said ^^^^

And to do that press once of the "F" keys to get into Bios. I usually press as many "F" keys as I can right before bootup, being that I forget which "F" key to press.

It's probably F2 or F3. Press it before your boot up screen.
