I can't seem to format certain SATA drives on my desktop. They work fine in an enclosure connected to my notebook, but if I connect it to the desktop, the whole system would slow dramatically and file transfer to the drive always ends in some sort of failure. Trying to reformat it on the desktop also proved futile; I noticed it was able to "format" the drive, but not "create file structures". I already tried re-installing/upgrading the drivers. Is there anything else I should try?
