    hdd problems not accesible

    I got this hd that I pulled from another machine and connected it to mine but will not open the hd. But it pops a message box with this error on it (((ERROR PERFORMING INPAGE OPERATION))) . Any sugestion please is most welcome.
    All I need to know is if need a freh install or if there's any way around it.

    Go to the command promat and type chkdsk driveletter: /r or chkdsk driveletter: /f
    Driveletter is the hdd in question. Example: chkdsk f: /r
