I was working on dual booting with linux and I think I wiped my brand new 64 bit ultimate off of my hard drive. I installed it just last week. Could I reinstall the copy or will it not let me because I already registered it last week. If I called microsoft would they be able to help me?

You should be able to reinstall it on the same machine. If it does not activate, call them up and explain that you accidentally wiped it and is reinstalling, they will understand.

I've had to call on 2 occasions, one was when I installed a new gfx card on my Vista Business machine and it would not re-activate, they gave me the code to fix it within 3 minutes of me calling.
