    help needed - deleted volume

    was deleting programs and accidently deleted the volume control for windows xp 2000, are there any tips or ideas of how to reinstate it or good sites to download a new volume control pannel from?!?

    Did you mean the icon, or the "volume control" option itself under accessories?

    It would help to know specs on you computer - Brand, model , sound card (if any). Also do you have windows XP or Windows 2000?

    pretty funny... i had the same presumption

    OP, look in control panel, sound devices, open it, make sure something is installed there as the default device. if not, reinstall the oem audio device driverware.
