Hello, I took all of my music files (cd's I put on the computer), off of my old satellite, and put them in a folder on my new satellite...
When I go into media player, the music has not been assigned to the media player "album" section or "artist" section, how can I get media player to look into that folder I created and put the files into that??

    thanks
    joe

Are yu on Media Player 11??

Right click the "forward backwards buttons" in the top left corner, navate to properties/options (or what its called), you'll get a little pop up window that will allow you to change settings, amongst them settings for the media library.

Just add your new Media Folder to the ones MediaPlayer checks.

(Hope you understand this - translating menus isn't ideal in these cases...)

OK, I'll give it a go, thank you.
The other thing, (2nd day on a vista laptop), forgive me, is I have/HAD an icon in my task bar, called "Toshiba PC Health Monitor" It was great, it told you thing like temps, fan speed, baterry power, etc...BUT i think I deledted it from the task bar, but the program is still in my start up and add/remove lists. I just can find it anywhere to put it back....I have looked in quite a few places, any suggestions?

You could try using the search function in the start menu.

I haven't had a Toshiba laptop, so can't think of anything else sorry.

Did it work out for you? I did this once and I think I used the same technique as DetlevCM mentioned but I'm not sure.
Anyhow... it should work for you.
