hi. i am using azureus a bittorrent client.

i have set up port forwarding on my router and i have two laptops (both running vista).

on one laptop when i perform a nat/server port test, it is fine and says "okay, passed"

on the second laptop, it says "NAT Error - Connect attempt to xx.xx.xx.xxx:xxxxx (your computer) timed out after 20 seconds. This means your port is probably closed."

i put x in place of real numbers i'm not sure if it's dangerous to post it on the web.

both windows firewalls have allowed azureus. even when i turn windows firewall completely off, i still get that message.

my question is if there is a hidden setting in vista i have to change to get this to work so i pass the test. thanks!

You may need to forward the port on your router, itself. What kind of network/internet setup do you have? Depending on the setup, you may have to forward a port from your broadband connection to your network router to your computer.
