    read the title, my comp is built(should this be in the desktop forum?) and i would like to install xp.

    SATA HDD? Slipsteam SATA drivers with nLite, then install.

    yes.....so do i just boot it up and put the disk in then?

    what is this slipstream thing?

    It means that you incorporate the driver/software into the OS disk without having to upload them via USB drive / Floppy / external source.

    Been using that program for almost 3 years. Keeps getting better and better.
