If i dont use windows media player for music because i use itunes is there still any advantage of using it. Are any of these faster then the others.

They all perform the exact same. The only significant differences between the three are this (I will list what each is missing in relation to the other).
XP Home is Missing: IIS services (personal web server), Remote Desktop, True multi-cpu support (dual core is however supported fully), Encrypting file system, Access control (limiting group policies for who can use what), Ability to join a Active Directory domain.
XP Media Center Missing: Ability to join a Active Directory domain.
XP Professional Missing: Media Center.
Note: The only professional feature missing from MCE is the ability to join an active directory domain. Other than that, MCE was built entirely upon the Professinoal superset. -
I just installed Media Center over my Windows XP Pro, and man... it just looks great! I use it on both my desktop and notebook, and it just looks sexy!

Nah, I like having the software too. It's actually a really neat program to run movies and music on!
