Just bought a hp 4520s. Everyone with them has the same complaint (e.g. here http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=5736&review=hp+probook+4520s) that the touchpad buttons pick up hovering fingers, and mess up the scroll. In the words of the notebookreview.com: "Making the touchpad button areas a "dead zone" would completely resolve this problem." Is there any way to do this?

You do it from the touchpad driver software. Is your touchpad by synaptics or alps?

I have my Alps touchpad turned off. Did it in Control Panel - Mouse and told it to be off if bluetooth mouse is active. I just hate touch pads.
