Since I am upgrading to a new HDD, I am wondering if there's a way to clone all my data?![]()

acronis true image 11
MAKE SURE TO SCAN DISK FOR ERRORS AND FULLY DEFRAGMENT FIRST -
if either HDD's are a Seagate you can download Seagate DiscWizard which is made by Acronis and works great. That's what I used.
I think they also have one for Maxor drives. -
is there any way i can do it without spending $?

Find the "free" version ;x

DriveImageXML is what you are looking for.

No I meant the hardware part, any way I can do w/o the USB encloser? I have an enternal 3.5" HDD if that would help.

If that 3.5" external is in a SATA enclosure, and is removable, and you can plug your 2.5" SATA HDD into it --> then no problem.
Or you could go for something like this. (Search for it on ebay or newegg) -
create an image file to your external 3.5" drive, then put new drive in, and restore onto the new drive.
how do I clone my HDD on a laptop?
