    how do I get rid of "older version or Vista" message

    had vista installed to try it out but I ended up removing it. how do I get rid of that message on boot up though? I just want it to boot right to XP now.

    Just a guess, but you may be able to edit that by right-clicking 'Computer', selecting 'Properties', 'Startup Settings', 'Advanced Settings', and choosing the default OS, or unchecking the box for time to display OS list...

    have you tried doing fixboot off the xp disc?
