    how do I get rid of pre-installed junk

    There a bunch of pre-installed programs on my vaio, that I don't use like AOL and AOL instant messenger. When I go to add/remove programs, they're not listed. How do I get rid of them? I know I can just delete the icon, but I want to unistall them from my laptop completely. Thanks for your help.

    Are you sure they're installed? It might just be links to the installer. Otherwise they will show in add/remove.

    They were in the program files under "Online Services." I just wound up deleting the folder and the shortcuts. I hope they're not anywhere else.

    its a 100% improvement if u just re-format. definately wipe it of all the junk!
